Puppies for Sale

I was driving when I noticed 2 puppies next to the road under rain, I stopped to rescue them as it was obvious they wouldnt survive so close to the main road under the rain and then I found out there are 2 more puppies under a collapsed cardbox (and very heavy due to being soaked under rain)

I already posted on facebook and one lucky dog (chabby rottweiler looking one in the middle) is reserved for his permanent home.

Now got 3 more to go. Max and Ice are now taking care of them but we cannot keep them for long. I will probably take them to KAR before this weekend if noone comes forward to love them forever...

They are really nice looking dogs, and they are not for sale, I just wrote that to draw a bit more attention

Did you find them near the turn off for the Merit. We were driving past there about midday and saw a couple of young lads with some puppies in a cardboard box?
I'm sorry I can't take one being a swallow but hope you find them good homes.

You had me going for a minute, I thought WHAT, FOR SALE! They look adorable as do all pups, Are they Pointer cross? I am sure KAR will take them as they are pups, if necessary. Do hope they get homes soon.

Having Kar as my backup plan, I am on a mission to find them good homes. One is already reserved, and got some interest on one of the remaining male ones.

Males do look like they have some rottweiler/doberman in them by fur color, one has blue eyes which is a husky thing. Female definitely looks different and pointer like, so does 2 of the remaining male puppies by body build.

I should have gone on here first this morning before Facebook, having suggested to Kemal about KAR, and now I see he knew all the time. I love the video with Ice, Max and the puppies, it's lovely to see some happy dogs, and it's great Kemal that you have found homes for 2 of them.
So sad to read and see all these awful things happening to animals here, but of course one of the big differences is that the Government here, have not provided any type of home/shelter for unwanted animals. In many European countries that do have them, people can take unwanted animals their rather than dumping them, but one wonders what they would do with them if there weren't any animal shelters. Look how many animals end up their after Christmas when thoughtless people give them as pets, then after a couple of weeks don't want them. Please don't think for one minute I'm saying it's ok to dump them, what I'm saying is would other countries be guilty of the same thing if there weren't government facilities to take them. People can be thoughtless and cruel in all countries, or they can be kind and caring as we also see here. Kemal coming to mind straight away. Ok I'm going now.

Blue Eyes also rehomed!!! He is now from Duzova village and belongs to 2 sisters who love her so much already...

We now have only the 'black eyes' left. Come on guys this is your last chance

I think Kemal has a natural gift for re-homing animals, or else loads of friends who need pets. I do hope someone will take the last remaining little one, he's so cute:)

Sorry for not posting an update past 2 days.

I had a candidate permanent home for Don Quixote and I took him over to show him on Friday but the most unexpected thing happened. As soon as I took him out of the car and put him on the floor, he started vomiting white foam and was slightly shivering, signs of poisoning. Although he was never out of my sight all morning, I took him to vet immediately and put him on drips, we eventually concluded that it was a reaction to the flea drip I put on his back earlier that day. After about an hour at the Vet, we got home.

I dont know what they put on those drips but I called the Vet this morning and told her that I will be making a trip there next time I am sick to get the same thing. Don Quixote was already back to himself by the time we got home and even had the energy/power to push open my bedroom door and get in in the middle of the night.

We will be making the same trip again on Monday and hopefully he will be liked and kept, and my mission would then be complete...

Not the first I have heard of similar. One pup was covered in Ticks, the owner thought the answer was multiple doses of frontline, this resulted in an organ failure of some sort. It is important not to give larger than recommended doses of these products, check the weight of the animal against the dose carefully. I am NOT saying this was the cause in this case, please note. This brings me on to the next point, friends of mine have a Cyprus Poodle, being small and a natural free spirit/roamer he is very prone to ticks, whenever he is frontlined he is always "out of sorts" for a day or so, so be careful.

I personally prefer Paraban collars for smaller dogs, because of this very problem. IMHO Avantix is preferable to Frontline for larger dogs because of the added special formulation for Sand Flies, the carrier of Leisch in dogs. But anything is better than doing nothing.

I did get the medicine from the vet for this puppy so I suppose it was the fact that the immune system was not acting properly, being not cared for properly and dumped on the road and stuff. Regardless, he was back on his feet in no time as can be seen from the videos below...

Bad news I am afraid. This couple I visited today whom they lost their 2yr old dog recently. The wife was not sure if she wanted to take on another dog, but the husband was up for it. While trying to convince them as I knew they would look after Don Quixote very well, something very unexpected happened.

The cat who adopted them after their dog got lost started following around Don Quixote, at first we though she was just curious, then she jumped on the poor puppy full claws on, I am sure Don would be seriously hurt if we didnt intervene.

I dont understand why this happened, as Don didnt even notice the cat. The cat just attacked the poor dog unprovoked, and out of no reason. This was supposed to be happening the other way around, were they lying to us all along? is there no Santa Clause?

Well, regardless, this was enough to put off already half hearted wife, and I myself was actually concerned for the well being of Don at the same time, so I took him back with me.

Another potential home also didnt go through as they wanted a small dog like a poodle.

We will see how it goes the next few days...

What a time you are having with poor little Don. Are you quite sure he's not doing all these things because he really wants to stay with you. !!! It seems each time you think you have a home, he comes up with something else to make you take him home with you. I think he's secretly a very clever little puppy, but I'm sorry it didn't work out.

Don Quixote as of this morning has adopted a young couple from Famagusta.

There seems to be an abundant number of puppies around, I think you will not have to work hard to find one, wish you all the luck.

Brilliant news for these puppies.
If the poster who was wanting a puppy is still looking, please read the following.
Beautiful Mum {Dog} was killed yesterday, leaving behind her litter of 4/5 puppies.
Our friend is trying to find homes for these little ones, as they are not safe to be left where they are and will not be able to survive on their own. Have managed to share the photo of Mum, on Hope 4 Pets North Cyprus but could not get it on here.
Please anyone who can help, look on the site.
My friend did contact Kar on my advice but was told they could not take them but I do not know the reason why!
