Re: Latest Residency Application Requirements HELP
Hello Bert, assuming this is not your first residency and you are under 60 process is same as last year. Take you valid passport and photocopy of the photo page, photocopy of your property sales/rental contract or Kocan in you name (and the original), local bank statement showing holder's name and latest balance, original letter from you Muhtar bearing two signatures and 1.30 revenue stamps, registration booklet. You will then need to go to state hospital for blood tests, return again to police station with the receipt for your tests and the documents listed! After approx one week go and collect test results from hospital. 3 weeks later go to immigration dept in Lefkosa with your passport, medical report, current residency fee (250TL for year) and 9.5 revenue stamps.
Please I have typed this very quickly and am not immune to mistakes so do correct me if anyone notices any of the above is incorrect, or if there is anything you are still not sure on Bert I will try and answer, good luck.

Re: Latest Residency Application Requirements HELP
Just been this morning to Girne police and as Barbieb says - with a few differences -
Take to police ;
Passport - also photocopy of photo page and previous residency stamp.
Kocan - if in partners name then also a cop of marriage certificate.
Up to date bank statements.
Muhktars letter for each applicant.
Pink booklett.
The police checked all papers and then stapled them together and gave them back along with a form to take to Girne State Hospital.
Took the form and passport to Hospital - downstairs - take a ticket and WAIT ! Once number is up they will complete their own form and ask you to write on the back Fathers and Mothers name plus your tel. no.
Wait again - then get called to the cashier window next door. Paid 135TL and she gives you receipt and paper slip and tells you where to go for tests. This morning everyone was being told to go to British Medical Lab - opposite Chicken Planet K'Lou.
Off to the Lab with receipt and passport. They took copy of passport and asked to write name - tel no - Fathers/Mothers names on back of their form. Go in and have blood test and TB test (No Xray - unlike previous yesrs). Have to go back Monday for them to check the TB test. Told to go and collect results at room 305 or 307 i can't remember !! at Girne Hospital in 1 week. Need to take passport to collect results.
Back to police station. Handed over all the forms he had stapled together and the receipts from the hospital and he checked them again. He completed a form (asked for current occupation) and then wanted the pink booklet. I then signed form and wrote Fathers/Mothers name and my tel no.
No stamps asked for.
Told to go to Lefcosia in 2 weeks with lab results and passport to collect permit. I checked is it 2 weeks or 3 and said 2. I think there is a tel no you can call beforehand to check it is ready before traipsing over there - maybe another forum member has the no and can post it on here.
First went into the police station at 08.30 (they opened at 8) and was completed and out of police station by 10.10.
Not bad at all compared to the previous long long uncomfortablel waits at Girne hospital for X Ray and blood test.
Any info on the next process - at Lefcosia - would be good. If not i will post on here once i have been.
