Smarties Tubes Challenge Results

Hi Everyone,

You may have read on a previous post and in the press that we distributed full tubes of Smarties to the children of ESK Secondary, GAU, Necat British College, NEU Elementary, NEU College, Levent Elementary, Levent College and TED College - the idea being that the kids could eat the Smarties (or give them away) after which they then had to collect as many 50kr coins as possible and return these to their respective schools after 2 weeks.

The children that returned their tubes full of money ie 27TL, were entered into a prize draw with fabulous prizes from our very generous sponsors; Best Sellers karakum and Alsancak, Deniz Plaza, King's Bowling Alley, Leman Restaurant, The Cacao, Pizza Pizza, Domino Pizza and Berkin Spor - we would like to say a huge thank you for their support.

There were some children who showed exceptional initiative, for example, one child went out and bought an extremely large Smarties tube and bought that in full up - we found a special prize for this child.

We have now collected and counted all the money and the total amount of money from each school is as follows:

ESK Secondary 2,380.30 TL
GAU 4,812.50 TL
Necat British College 2,424.70 TL
NEU Elementary 5,184.65 TL
NEU College 4,560.60 TL
Levent Elementary 2,766.50 TL
Levent College 1,724,60 TL
TED 2,546.35 TL

Grand Total 26,400.20 TL

A huge thank you to all the students (including parents) and teachers who took part in this event and a massive pat on the back for their generous support for Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association.
