Having just moved in 4 weeks ago, I asked my daughter in law to send me some mail to see how long it takes and if I do indeed recieve it, she posted a jiffy bag via air mail from the UK on June 12, today I checked my mail box at my home and it was there. So thank you to Catalkoy post office staff, and for all I know it might have been in there for the past couple of days.

I received a letter and also a wedding invitation yesterday, both sent air mail from the UK eight days ago, things may be getting better at last.

I have always had reasonable service both in Girne and here in Ozankoy - apart from a couple of silly blips.
Post takes an average of 9 working days, longest being 21 days and shortest 5. The number of intervening weekends, and bank holidays at both ends effect the time.
Remembering the local deliverers dont necessarily speak English it is important to mak sure the address is correct - I provide labels for scatty friends and confused elderly relatives.
If post is misdelivered it can be stuck in the PO box of a "swallow" for months, so if you are not here permanently please get someone to check your box while you are away and pass on any misdeliveries.
