Limited Internet access

Is anyone experiencing problems accessing the Internet. I seem to have limited access. I am with Nethouse and my access is via the tower by the Merit Park.

I can get into something like BBC News but when I try to access an article it says no connection to Internet. Lots of other sites don't connect at all and I even had problems on Kibkom, but obviously working at present though not much else is.

Same here... some sites fine and some no access. The great wall of Turkey maybe?

I wondered whether it was something to do withTurkey limiting access, but I can access You Tube no problem. It is such an odd selection of sites that I cannot access and, even more mystifying, is the fact that I can access part of BBC news, like market, but not news articles.

Maybe a glitch and maybe some of the sites use more than one server, hence some bits accessible?

Hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Yes,, mine has been going on and off all week. It's nice to know your not the only one, that all across N.C. people are going s..t, not again.

It would be interesting to know if the problem emanates from the service provider, ie Nethouse, or is it more wide spread. Are Multimax subscribers also experiencing the same problem and, if so, have they been given any explanation because Multimax seem to have good communications.

We (Multimax) have has similar symptoms in the past - namely 'parts' of the internet unaffected where as other 'parts' are unreachable or near unreachable. The issue has been with TTnet in turkey and problems with their links out from there to the rest of the internet and have usually been resolved relatively quickly by them. I can not say for sure if we experienced the same problem that you were seeing at the same time you were but such problems at TTnet potentially could affect several or even all ISPs in the North.

I have been having problems with facebook over the past hour or so. It won't update my homepage with anything from today, but I know that things have been coming through. 4 or 5 posts and pics from this morning have been 'greyed' out.

It is nice to know that the problem is not affecting just me. I simply found it weird that I could access only part of a site, especially BBC news.

Mine keeps going off with other things besides facebook. When I restart the computer I get the internet back, but never know for how long before it suddenly goes off again.
