Dalartokat, thank you for taking the time to share so much info with us in all your posts. Please don't be put off by some of the less friendly people who use this forum and have criticised in the past, I am grateful for your extensive input as surely are the majority of members.

No worries Hippocampus, I don't take it to heart, people read what they want to, if it interests them.. Thank you too. Sylvie

Thanks for information as I have followed this since introduction of e visa
Off to oil deniz in June from UK and travel agents are confused and will let me know .
It papers clear to save money now ,20 dollars before you travel or £20 on arrival if no e visa .
It always goes up doesn't it lol

20 US Dollars around £12 so makes sense to get the visa before travelling, get the visa from the official Turkey e-visa site there are adverts to get the visa for you, these will ask for card details which I wouldn't give them to anyone online. Maybe travel agents will get it for you most probably with an admin charge.

I had to get a Turkish visa in order to transfer from Istanbul to Ankara last week - cost £10 at the desk at Ataturk

MVP - was that because you changed airlines and not a transit passenger?

Re: Even more latest news on E-Visa to Turkey
Well just wondering has anybody used and paid for this evisa online yet ?
I completed form successfully and went to the payment page ,would not let me out card details in correctly .
I start to input card number then stops, misses digits and won't let me enter full card number so hence can't pay .
Have emailed them and they say they will look at issue and get back to me within 14 days .
I am using iPad and wonder if that is the issue ?

Re: Even more latest news on E-Visa to Turkey
I did an e-visa last weekend with no problems. It was quick and easy to complete the forms and no problem paying. Would just re-iterate earlier posting that you make sure you are on the official Turkish government site.

Hi spud
Yes it's same link and it was easy ,but just card number trying to input .
As I say I am using a iPad and think that is the issue as some of my online facilities in banking don't work ?
Thanks
Will go dig out the lap top later lol

Journey1
No, I was Turkish Airlines all the way from London to Ercan with minimal delays between planes. The Istanbul Ankara leg is deemed as domestic, so even though I never spent a night or went outside the airports, I had to pay for a Visa.
I have to also say the staff at Ataturk & Turkish Airlines were particularly unhelpful, with contradictory and incorrect advise.
I would avoid choosing this route if at all possible - I certainly wouldn't do it again.

Yes lap top ok and no issues .
On the iPad when entering the card numbers it defaults back to digit you have entered ,then you have to click on the other side to enter another number ....confused yet lol when you get iPad application you will see what I mean .

MVP - that sounds awful about having to pay for the visa whilst really a transit passenger and topped with unhelpful staff. I will avoid that route as well!
