Advice please re where to buy a DVD player

I would appreciate some advice of where to go to buy a DVD player Just looking for a simple easy to operate machine.
Just looked on the Argos web site to get a rough idea of what I could expect to pay. It's talking about blue ray, I don't have the first idea what that is.

We bought one last year its an LG make and equated to £28. Down girne high street , 1st road on right and shop is on left hand corner, sorry dont know name.

Thanks Namps, will give it a try. Machine died last night just as I was about to watch the last couple of episodes of Shetland.
