Phone message from multimax
My husband has just had a message on his mobile phone from multimax saying no Internet tomorrow between 10 am and 2 pm. We are Karsiyaka, now that is service.

Re: Phone message from multimax
Just wanted to provide a bit of background info on the situation which was impossible to explain in the actual SMS.
We currently have 7 basestations in Karsiyaka. Of all these, there is one central hub, that receives the internet from Alsancak and distributes it to all others. This central hub location has been out of mains power for the past 4 days outside of control of Multimax. We have been keeping everything alive by backup generators, which needs to be stopped for 15 mins(in which time battery backup would kick in, eliminating the downtime) for cool down every 4 hours, 24h a day so that there is very little to no impact on customers. Our tech teams dedication on this has been exemplary.
Today we had to make a tough decision, as there is no solution in sight regarding grid power for this location, we are forced to move our central hub to an alternate location. As it is a tremendous effort to move major links to a new physical location, a downtime has been forseen as inevitable. We will be working with multiple teams in different locations simultaneously in order to minimize actual downtime.
This scheduled maintenance will only affect customers of Karsiyaka. Thank you for your understanding.
