BRS AGM minutes

Sorry - I have been informed this is already a topic, but I cannot find it! I believe that someone has asked why the AGM minutes are not on the BRS website. The fact is that the present Committee has not received them yet. The minutes are taken by the committee who chair the meeting - eg usually the Hon Secretary. As Nigel thought he was going to be too busy (I understand) he asked a member to take the minutes for him. The minutes usually go on a couple of months before the AGM, so they are fresher in the mind for members who intend to attend - but more recently they have gone on earlier. There is no rule that says they have to be on the website - in fact the web site is a fairly new thing, in relation to the age of the BRS! I expect once they are received they will go into the members section, as usual.
The ordinary committee minutes go on after they have been signed as correct at subsequent meetings - eg the April minutes will go on after they have been agreed as accurate at the May committee meeting.

Oh dear here we go again? I would imagine the minutes would be a bit like a Martina Cole novel.

Thanks for that Mama China. Not everyone realizes what AGM Minutes are different to normal regular Minutes.

However, unlike Martina's Novels, the naughty words will be left out and hopefully somehow conveye3d accurately. However, they will not be done until the poor lady who has the job of reading back 30 pages of shorthand has a copy of the recording to back up what was written.

The word 'headache' comes to mind.

Hi Marion, if you leave out the naughty words and the bits you can't print, that should cut your pages of notes by 50%The best of luck, I suggest a course of Valium starting now! Best of luck.

Valium or maybe take to the bottle! Just building up courage and waiting for the disk! But all things are possible and miracles take a little longer -0 maybe that is why I haven't done them yet.
