George Roper R.I.P.
After a long battle with cancer George died earlier today. A very special man who organised the fun runs / days to raise money for Tulips.

He will be sadly missed in this world but an asset to the next.

Condolences to his wife Lesley and the family.

Rest now in peace George and sleep with the Angels.

Chris

I am glad I managed to speak to him at the fun run this year. He told me the chemo was taking it out of him.

He will be sorely missed.

R.I.P George and our condolences to his family.

Very sadly missed. I did not meet him recently but saw him on telly with Can Gazi, together with his granddaughter form U.K and he was so brave and considerate of others. He will be missed and I and everyone hopes that the family will find the strength to cope with the big hole in their lives that George will leave.

But (without being blasphemous) I can't see him 'resting in peace;' = I reckon he will be up there setting up fund raising for angels with broken wings.

May the peace be granted to those left behind who have to come to terms with the loss.

There are certain people that touch our lives and George was one of those people who touched many.

He was a very special person and will be sorely missed

May he now rest in peace.

Lots of love to Les and the family.

What to say about a man who never stopped working for others despite his own problems? Only that he was very much loved and will be missed so much. Rest easy now George, we will continue your good work and keep your memory alive.

My thoughts and love are with the family - stay strong.
