I want to take my sister for her first trip to the Karpaz in June and I am looking for any recent experiences on either of these hotels. I would like to stay for a two nights on half board if it is available.
Can anyone help please?
cheers

We stayed at Villa Lembos, 6 of us in 3 separate apt/villas, last September.
Good hosts
Good food
Good clean accommodation with air con
Four Poster bed too (room 7) had Tempur mattress and pillows on beds.
Would visit again.

Have you thought of the Balci Plaza, in between Yeni Erenkoy and Dipkarpaz. Peaceful, private beach, spotlessly clean and good food. Check out http://www.balciplaza.com. I don't know the other two but have stayed at the Balci many times and couldn 't think of a nicer place to be.

Villa Lembos any day - clean rooms, great hosts, good food - great location - not far from Ayios Phylion where there is a beautiful, sandy beach

They are all great but depend son wha tyou want. Do you want to be on the sea front/coast/beach or happy to be in 'town'. I think that shoul;d be the main consideration when booking. Decide which is the more important. They are all great and all different one to the other, so do a bit more research. I have tried them all (did a bit of a write up on some of them for a world travelpage) and that is why I would say very strongly you must decide on he setting first and foremost.

Stayed at the Blue Sea twice over the last 5 years. Loved it both times.

However; it really depends what your expectations are.

Blue Sea is basic, clean accomodation if a bit dated. A poster of a young David Cassidy from the 1970's (For those of an age who remember him) used to hang at the top of the stairs. Carpet was threadbare.

The ground floor was taken up a a number of setees and sofas - great for lounging on, small beach next to hotel and of course a little fishing harbour as well next door. Food was good and plentiful. The first time we visited they had no mains electric but generator, so evenings the generator came on...on mains electric now.

From our experience we liked the Blue Sea, for some it will be to basic - you must decide.

Thank you so much everyone for your views - I really appreciate that.
My sister has never been to the Karpaz before and its only her 2nd visit to North Cyprus in 12 years . I want to make this wee trip as a surprise for her. I know she likes traditional, sea, beaches and friendly people. I too like the same but need to add in A/C , clean accommodation and lovely fresh local food. Great hospitality would oh be such a bonus.

Can't remember off the cuff, but either Villa Lembos or some of those around (including Balci Plaza) grow their own veg, make their own yoghurt and also kill their own meat(!). So if you want real 'ethnic' why not make further enquiries. Sounds a wonderful thing you are planning.
