BBC and ITV iPlayer

Anyone else having a problem with these two sites? Up until about two days ago, they worked fine on my laptop and now suddenly both tell me that I need to install Adobe Flash Player to view the program. Well needless to say I have the Adobe program, it was working perfectly. I have tried everything I can think of to rectify this having uninstalled both the iPlayers and the Adobe programs several times and I still keep getting the same message. Any help would be appreciated.

My BBC iPlayer works o.k. but the ITV one more often then not says " not available in your region".

What browser are you using ? If you are using IE then I would suggest trying with google chrome instead. Often using a different browser is a simpler way of solving (or bypassing) the issue than fixing on the browser that does not work.

You need to hide your IP address to get itvplayer and lately for bbciplayer so a VPN is needed which comes free with Multimax you just need to turn if on and off as required.

Thanks for that Erol, I tried it with chrome and it works fine but with either Internet Explorer or Firefox it will not work. Funnily enough it does work with IE and Firefox on my wife's laptop, which is an almost identical machine. Thanks to others who contributed.
