kittens
is anyone interested in adopting two gorgeous sisters, one all black with green eyes and one grey tabby with eyes? they will be old enough in a month. very sweet, used to having dogs around.
alternatively, you might be interested in two brothers, also very sweet and used to dogs. very, very cuddly too! one is amber and one is champagne coloured, both with green eyes. they are healing, and should be ready for adoption in a couple weeks.
i would like to send them home with their siblings because each set does everything together. though sometimes, they all huddle together for a nap and it's the cutest pile of fur you've ever seen!
please let me know.

Re: kittens
thank you for your sweet words ozankoys!
for anyone interested, they are gorgeous and watching them play is a wold of entertainment!
I should add that the amber and champagne coloured ones are litter trained and on solid foods.
i really hope some can offer them a loving home because they are so sweet and love to cuddle with you. i took a nap on the couch, to wake up and find 5 kittens curled all over my body.

Re: kittens
hi owl lady,
i was successful in making contact. now just waiting for a final decision, though i am not sure that my chubby bundles are exactly what she is looking for...
i am also in the process of setting up a Facebook page for my animals and hope to adopt as many as possible. they are strays that i take in, nurse back to health/rehabilitate and hope to adopt out. just to have done a little something on the side to help out the animal population and lend a hand in KAR's mandate since i cannot volunteer with them (lack of transportation). as such, please keep me in mind if you hear of anyone looking for cats/kittens, and dogs/puppies that are perfect for a family environment.
thank you in advance

Re: kittens
owl lady, i was not aware of a KAR lunch on wednesday... but i am not sure i will be able to. a lovely lady has offered to help me get my yard puppy ready with chicken wire as i will be taking in another dog in need of a home and help this dog integrate with the rest of my fur balls (including three adult cats, two of whom are still in recovery). depending on when she comes, i may be home bound for a week or two until the new members have settled in, and without a car, going out involves too many hours away from this ever growing family
maybe you can give me some advice. you said, not to post of Facebook, but rather keep posting here. what i would like to do is appeal to a wider audience, so that maybe friends and family in europe and north america may be inclined to adopt some of these pets. so far i have had success with 2 cats and 2 kittens being adopted out of the country but that has been mostly family and friends of mine. i am hoping to reach out, since TRNC is a small country with so many pets up for adoption, the potential pool of adopters is fairly small.
with pets weighing less than 8kg, they can be taken inside the cabin with turkish airlines (for a little over 100$), and 5kg with atlas jet, and 6 kg with pegasus (i believe...though i may have atlas and pegasus weights mixed up). as such, if they can travel with someone, the cost is quite affordable. i have done research on the entry conditions for most countries and quarantine is usually avoidable with approximately one month planning in advance. as well, i thought maybe reaching out to the airlines and other pet transport companies for discounts on the cost of sending rescue pets abroad for adoption, in exchange for advertising in this forum or any other means allowed by law here, is something that i would like to look into. any advice or information from anyone regarding how i can get this accomplished, would be wonderful. i am calling my project the Lucky Sox Mandate, in honour of the first two kittens that succumbed to their illnesses, and whom i miss deadly.

Chrissy. I have found homes for 4 cats through facebook, but never a home via kibkom. I suggest you use all the free sites not just this one. It was also through facebook that I almost homed another dog.

Re: kittens
Hi Chrisssy. I have just read owl ladys post, and I think she is saying that SHE doesn't do facebook, not advising you not to do it:)
Good luck in all you are trying to do. I do a similar thing but only with cats its a never ending problem, but every cat/kitten that gets a home, that is fed and watered, that goes to the vets for the ops etc is one less in the never ending problem, and of course one less for KAR to deal with. I am going to send you a pm.

Re: kittens
Hi Chrissy, please check entry requirements for animals going abroad as I think you will need more than one month to avoid quarantine. The experience I have had with cats going to European countries via KAR need at least 3 months planning if they haven't already got an up-to-date Pet Passport or Rabies jabs.
