How is little Ismail? Haven't heard anything since Looseboots ran the marathon to raise the money for the bone marrow operation last year. Did Ismail have the operation? Is he any better? It would be nice to have an update.

Hi Zarafet, Johnny lee is the main man dealing with little Ismail, as far as i know, he is well and not sure whether he has had the operation but i will be in touch with Johnny Lee soon regards the festival and will get back to you.

Carboot it would be good to know how he is doing. Maybe Looseboots would know as he raised the money last year for the operation. Seems up until then there were loads of updates etc about Ismail and then it all went very quiet and no news about how the operation went, was it a success or even if it happened. They say no news is good news but it would be nice to know how things stand.

Thanks Marion, just seen Lee's response, great news with Ismail, we are working very hard this week to make sure Sunday's festival is a big success for all the children in northern Cyprus. Help us make it happen!

Ah bless you Stella, me and Mo knackered at moment, been out all day, getting more sponsors and bless them no one says no! Poor Kevin tomorrow will stay home preparing, poor me and Mo will be leafleting the Wednesday Market and anywhere else we can think of whilst still trying to get more sponsors, we have a lovely volunteer with us tomorrow Jojo who is threatening to wear shorts, should get a few more sponsors, but all is go go now, to make sure this great event is well attended and we gain record breaking amounts for this worthy charity and give something back, but we need everyone to make this happen, so please everyone support this and with our raffle you may be well compensated, so come on Soner post this in events please, and keep it at the top, where it deserves to be!

Thank you Stella, and please everyone keep this to the top, it is so important to us, to give something back to the children of this wonderful country and raise lots of money, it is for charity, and a community event, for both ex-pats and Cypriots, it is about pulling together and raising money, but having fun along the way, if this can't be made a stickie, lets make it one and keep it to the top, and please all come, there is so much going on, something for everyone, and we may even have a very special guest appearance, lets make it happen for the Children of Cyprus our future!

Can you confirm that yu have a generator lined up, barbie. don't know how long these power cuts/strike will be, but ......See you Sunday when I get there, but for the musicians I guess they will need electric????

Hi Marion, we have been promised a generator, lets hope we don't need to use it!
Everything is coming together, the games are already in place and looking wonderful, sorting the stage out this morning, all we need now is the good people of Cyprus to come along and have a fab time.

Barb, I think someone needs to donate a couple of armchairs so you and Mo can sit down on Sunday and have a rest, maybe a foghorn as well so you can direct operations from the armchairs!!!.

Thanks Stella, Barbie and I have been out all week working our socks off, Putting up posters, leafleting the markets, tourist along the harbour and everyone we came across. we have so many fantastic prizes in the raffle and tombola, you really can not afford to miss this worthy event!

It's nearly here and I have good news about entertainers for charity. In answer to the question:. What is required for entertainers to perform for charity while receiving no payment or expenses?, the answer was " As long as it is supported with District Office document or letter and Labour Department is informed ıt won’t be problem for us." Phew that's a relief.

Just hope you get lots of people spending lots of money.

Well it's late Saturday afternoon, and it looks as if it is going to be a very busy day tomorrow. The car booters are all plannng on getting up nice and early to get ready for the "coach loads" of people coming to support the Children In Need charity. So get their early to get great bargains that will be on offer.
