According to TRNC law, use of any beach (less military facilities) open to the public is free of charge. I know the Acapulco resort refused entry to non-payers, the Police were called and threatened to arrest the Manager if he did not allow access. The beach users got in. It is a fair to charge if you use resort facilities, parasols, showers, sun-beds etc. The specifics of Cratos, however, are unknown to me. It looks like a prison from the road.

Loved the Cratos when it first opened. Not much beach at all just a small Sandy strip. Further on down to the sea you can day hire large sun settee areas for parties of up to 12 these are set out quite nicely.
Fabulous pool with lovely dome covered sun beds.
Buffet food again very nice. Hotel itself we really liked. Hairdressers very good and the spa.
The Casino you could use more or less 24 hour opening the last time we went lady year was our second stay and our last as the downside for us poor waiter service and beds that were not comfortable.
We now much prefer the Acapulco and the Malpas although Cratos casino much more superior.
Hope this helps.

Last year the Cratos charged 15tl in the week & 25 tl per person at the weekend to use the beach area. However the admission price was fully refundable against food & drink. As the area is completely manufactured I do not think the police would insist they allowed free admission but it is effectively free anyway!

This year the Cratos is totally refurbished at the beach side, really beautifully completed.

HOWEVER the price this year is 20tl and is NOT refundable against food or drink!!

For myself, daughter and two grandchildren with lunch. I spent 200TL. !!!!!

Rather go to Shayna or Golf Club Beach, much better value.

But each to their own.

At the Cratos beach you can hire a Cabana for up to 5 people. Costs are 400TL, 300TL and 150TL per Cabana per day, depending on the level of luxury you want. The fee can be reclaimed by buying food and drink.

The golf club beach is very pleasant. 10tl for use of the facilities sunbed, umbrella. showers wc. A lovely grassed area with real grass. Bar/restaurant. Nice lunches reasonably priced
It's on the opposite side of the road to the golf club quite close.
Depending on which direction you are travelling, coming from Esentepe the entrance is just before the golf club from the other direction it's just after.
Quite a long bumpy track to get down there but manageable in an ordinary car
