Pegasus Airlines - Excess baggage fees?

Hi

Does anyone know how much Pegasus charge per kilo for excess baggage?
I tried looking on the flypgs website but need the customer PNR.

I have a guest that has gone a bit mad shopping in Kyrenia!!

Any info I can pass on will be much appreciated.

If you book it online before you go to the airport you pay £6 per kilo but you have to buy it in 5 kilo blocks. At the airport they charge £11 per kilo but that's in the uk. Not sure what they charge at Ercan airport. The website says 6tl per kilo.

You can see it on their website if you go into fly with pegsus, general riles and select the excess baggage.

Thats great, thanks for the info, I dont think she will be massively over the limit just a couple of kilos maybe.

They are not very strict at Ercan we were a couple of kilos over earlier this year & they were not a bit concerned whereas Stansted is a very different story.

At Stansted last year they charged for one kilo! After all the messing about for one kilo I went back to check in. A couple behind us said we have loads of weight left you could have used some of ours. So if you are under weight I suggest you make up the difference with house bricks or similar and make it a couple of kilos over. When it weighs in over just advise them that you will remove some of the bricks. They will probably ask about the bricks so just explain that until they give rebates for under weight then this what everybody should do. Also the bloke in front of us was twice the size of me and probably weight too, why doesn't he pay for his excess baggage!

If you have a upgrade package which already gives you 30kgs instead of the normal 20kgs allowance, be aware, you cannot add any further excess weight online and also, when you contact the airline direct on the phone, they tell you to explain at check in and you will be charged the normal rate of £6 per kilo - UTTER RUBBISH! i checked in with an extra case of luggage at 20 kgs and when i explained i had the full package with pegasus and that i could not add more excess weight online so i had contacted the airline direct and advise that i would pay £6 per kilo. the snotty and extremely rude lady airline agent in stanstead charged me £11 per kilo and then even tried to charge me extra for my golf flight case because it had 27 kilos in it. agent saying that limit was 20 kilos but when you look on the website for pegasus, it does not state what the weight is for the sports add on. Just try and rip you off no matter what flight package you buy with them! anyway, there was no charge for any weight for the sports case, so bear this in mind. the agents that act for pegasus are usually acting for easyjet and you will be surprised how many times they give out wrong information as they seem to know very little about pegasus airlines policies and try and make it up as they go along.

anyone travelling back from the UK to Ercan, great tip for you. buy a hard case flight holdall for sports, golf clubs. these can be bought cheap on ebay. You would not believe the amount of stuff you can get in one of these. they do not ask you to open it or anything at check in and it only costs you £15 to add this on to your luggage!! a nice way to beat their system and bring a load of stuff back with you. to the check in party
