As freedom day is on a Sunday this year, does anyone know if Monday is a Bayram?

TRNC are not like the UK if a bank holiday falls at the weekend they do not have a day off in lieu. They seem to have loads of holidays anyway how ridiculous is it that the week after next they will only have to work on Thursday, wonder how many sickies there will be on that day?

Ozankoys, could you be good enough to let everyone know why the people only have to work Thursday the week after next? Could it be because it is a religious holiday a bit like the UK Christmas that always extends into New Year?

For those who will have fasted for the past 28 days, well done, you truly deserve your holiday!!!!!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Yes of course they deserve the end of Bayram holiday which is 3 days but the 'Social Resistance Day' on the Friday must just be for TRNC as it is not marked on my Turkish calendar.
I think you will find that in UK the banks are only ever shut for a maximum of 2 1/2 days but of course we are not in UK!
