All members please refresh yourselves of the forum rules as more than two members have fallen foul of them this week. The rules are there to protect everyone, including those who post not realising it can cause trouble for themselves by way of a backlash in court proceedings. Also, please note that the Forum itself can be taken to court for being the bearer of any libel.

I am confused! Is it acceptable that, when a person replies to another on the forum, he/she uses the other person's name (which would have taken effort to search out on member's list), rather than addressing the person with their chosen user name?

Don't think it is a problem to find, as anyone who does not mind their name being available it is shown on your profile, for anyone to access easily. I think people want to remain anonymous for various reasons, especially in order to slag off others. The moderators do a good job controlling those.

Thanks Owl Lady. I realise it's not a problem to find a persons name, its just that when replying to the person on the forum, I see mostly users address the person they are replying to with their user name. Just an observation.
