any one know why the flags have been at half mast today?

Not sure but it might have something to do with all the innocent civilians being killed over in Gaza.

Not sure if it is a coincidence, however, flags have been flying at half mast in the Netherlands and over Downing street today, in respect of the first two planes carrying victims of crashed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 arrival in the Netherlands where a day of mourning has been declared..

The flags are at half mast here, as they are in Turkey and elsewhere, as there are 3 days official mourning for the innocent civilians killed in Gaza, including at least 200 children. God rest their souls.
