The PCS Union has called for strike action today at the Passport Office due to pay and staffing levels to deal with the backlog of applications which are approx. 350,000. It means people could potentially have their passport applications delayed.
This, so far, this morning is the only link I can find on the PCS website. as the news is coming on BBC radio stations but no links to them as yet.

What is one more day delay in the big scheme of things and a normal three month wait anyway?
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

The one day strike could affect those going on holiday within the next few weeks. Any action in this situation will delay the process. Any work that could have been done today will now be added on to tomorrow and the crisis management that the Civil Service performs continues on.
