English Speaking Car Mechanic Needed Urgently/Tow to Garage

I had to abandon my car last night (a Renault Clio) after it just stopped (no power), battery light went on and smoke could be seen coming out of the bonnet. Fortunately a passing local saw me and my 2 children and the smoke and got the car off the road and gave us a lift home.

I have the number of a British Mechanic called Mick who apparently has a history of servicing the car, but tried calling him to no avail as number just rings and rings. I need my car, and what happened was quite frightening. I have had no engine knocking, nothing. This just happened out of the blue and happened very very suddenly.

Could someone help me recover the car? Fix it would be a bonus/get it to a garage! It is dumped Esentepe way, but I live in lower Bellapais. Not having a good week!

(There are three tiny weeny faint button that will appear at the bottom of this post, on the left, one says email if you click on it, and the others say private message and profile I believe) I don't wish to post my telephone number on here, but message me if you can help.
Thanks.

Thanks for that Holly, but does anyone know of someone reliable and English speaking the other side of Kyrenia where I live and where the car is dumped? A tow on a straight road (who can write ON TOW in Turkish!), perhaps Catalcoy way?

Perhaps a business opportunity for someone.... AA or RAC of Northern Cyprus!

I was just going to say Ziggy, but glad you are sorted. I think it might be an idea to have this sort of info on Kibkom, for the future so that instead of having to write an entry, you need only take a peek. I know that soner wanted to have an information section, so maybe this could spur him on to doing so.
and of course if anyone else has a recommendation that can be included - on anything.

Thanks Lor. Alan is hopefully going to fix my car without having to buy a new radiator. Appears has been leaking water for some considerable time due to bodge up with pipes that will need replacing, and all the smoke was steam! He has been most helpful and a great source of information about the scams that go on here. But at least I should count myself lucky that I still have an engine.

Now I need a car for a couple of days. Marooned. Run out of cash (which was the reason we went out in the car initially on Thursday night anyway.... another story, of nonsense as I could not get any money out of the machine with my new cash card as apparently linked in to an account I never knew I had showing 6TL), and now since then all the credit has run out on my phone! So no cash, no car and no phone! So about to go for a long walk to Lemar/banks in Karakum to try and sort myself out! Ozy has no cars, and I need a car. Kids driving me up walls!

It never rains it pours....
