Ceramic tile shops?
Can anyone tell me if there are any decent ceramic tile shops selling tiles and trims etc in the Girne area? If so whereabouts are they please?

Mepas, just down the road at the side of the Colony. If they don't have what you want.....

Çağra Girne has tiles upstairs, second floor and a HUGE yard a few hundred yards away towards Çatalköy.

Re: Ceramic tile shops?
Mepas good selection of tiles and very helpful staff. As said previously, near the Colony.
Just redone our living area in ceramic wood planks. Looks fantastic, so much better than the crumbling travertine which never looked clean.
Also redone the bathroom floors in planks of a lighter colour again from Mepas and the walls in tiles from their selection.
Good service all round at the shop and delivery yard.

Just so you know, Mepas is actually on the one-way street quite a way up from the Colony... so heading up the road from the Colony towards the Lefkosa roundabout about 400 yards turn right just after a zebra-crossing and it's on the right about 50 yards just before the one-way street meets the two-way road that goes around the local school.

Also try Vitra, they have a good choice and they dont rip you off. They are about just over half way down the road to the port on the right hand side and the will tell you when they will deliver and keep to it.

Micky, thanks for that. I know there's is a big bathroom shop on the port road on the left going down, is it before or past that? (on the right obviously as you said)

Re: Ceramic tile shops?
We were looking for tiles a couple of years ago and found that Mepas had an excellent range and good quality and whilst Ermatas (which 'may' be the Vitra mentioned above I am not 100% sure) had an excellent range of tiles and were cheaper, so was the quality of the tiles - you get what you pay for.
