It has moved just round the corner from where it was. Opposite Kyrenia Tavern restaurant. There is also Glad Rags their new shop in Karakum where the office is.

There is the Heartbeat Cancer Charity Shop just at the side of the Hospital where my other half helps out at. It is officially closed until September but Mehmet and volunteers are still keeping it open on a Monday Morning - 9.30am till 1,00p.m. This is the charity which buys whatever the hospital needs in the battle with Cancer.

Love the atmosphere in the cancer charity shop. Everyone is always cheerful and chatty and there is a cafe area if you want to sit and have a cuppa. I always come away with a bargain or two.

Another plus is that you know exactly what the money raised is spent on.

A pat on the back to all the volunteers.

Thank you Blue Butterfly for your lovely comments. Speaking as one of the volunteers, we love helping out there. The customers are such a mixture, a melting pot of Russian,Turkish, Cypriot, English who live here and holidaymakers, students of all nationalities and we always have a laugh and make everyone welcome.

Just to remind you BB, money raised in the KAR shops is spend on animals, surely that is self evident? I too have popped into the Cancer shop from time to time. There is room for us all. Good luck to you cancer shop volunteers.

I see in Cyprus Today that Gladrags in Karakum has a sale 20% off ladies dresses, trousers, skirts shorts and tops. Mon 18th -Fri 22nd.
Open 9.30am to 4pm.
They have some nice stuff in there.

As mentioned all money raised goes to the welfare of the dogs and cats
