Renewing residency over 60 this week!
Can anyone who has done this in the past few weeks, confirm this is all that is required (currently) for over 60s for 1 year?
Photo copy of photo page in passport.
photo copy of residency stamp in passport
Passport
Muhtar's letter
Copy of Kocan
Blue card
Form off BRs website
Stamp (is it 9 or 10 tl?)
250tl
anything else please?
At immigration is there anything on the room to indicate the correct place? Haven't been for 2 years, so have forgotten.

did ours 10 days ago, we have pink books she said she didnt want them but be safe and take them. Its a ten tl stamp and you need copy of bank book[ or something proving you have money coming in to keep you]
Go through main door down corridor and its 2nd left corridor sign says residence[ignore first one on left]
Room is on the left.We were out of car and back to it in 20mins. good luck

As a matter of interest, what time of day did you go?

Do they have the renewal form available at Lefkosia? Not a BRS member!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Owl Lady .. Just out of curiousity, ask at immigration is it necessary as you are over 60 ..
I know it is not going to change your mind ..
But would you kindly post the reply you get from the immigration office ..

Regarding the request in msg 7 above, can you also get the name of the official providing the answer and their status within the Department?

Waddo, they have the forms behind the desk at immigration, the guy that did ours was really helpful, and the form is easy to complete, just usual info needed .

Many thanks all. Did anyone enquire about "Permanent" status yet? I am going on or about the 3rd of Sept and will ask then anyway - once I have my years stamp in my passport of course - lol.

Better still ask to speak to the top man or woman .. It can't do any harm ..tomsteel wrote:Regarding the request in msg 7 above, can you also get the name of the official providing the answer and their status within the Department?

If I can get in and out in 20 minutes will not really be asking for" top man" and waiting around half a day!!!No matter what the answer I am doing it for 1 year this time, and will wait and see if permanent residency ever transpires over the next 12 months!!!

According to BRS website you should renew 15-30 days before it runs out, they say don't let it expire as there are hefty fines. I'm under 60 but have always started the renewal process 30 days before expiry date.

This is true for the under 60's but the over 60;s get it done on the day they go to immigration. There is no police station etc involved.come_on_aylin wrote:According to BRS website you should renew 15-30 days before it runs out, they say don't let it expire as there are hefty fines. Re: Renewing residency over 60 this week!
On the website they did not distinguish between over or under 60, i.e it applied to any type of renewal/any age. I think you have now found out via another thread that it applies to all renewals.
