I understand that water is a precious commodity here and we are always very careful how we use it, I also understand that interruptions to the mains supply is to be expected especially in the summer months.
We have now been without mains water for almost 3 weeks, when we complain to Catalkoy Belediyesi we are told that they are aware of the problem and it will be fixed that day, it isn't of course! Or if you speak to someone else they tell you that the water is being diverted to the Acapulco Hotel. We are lucky that we have more stored water than some of our neighbours but are still having to buy in tanker loads.
Does anyone experience the same problems in other areas?
Lets hope the piped water from Turkey will help when it is completed c2015-2025!

we have never been that long without it, has stretched to 3 days the past years
.We are just off the road between Le jarden and tropicana. Our side of the road comes under catalkoy. So far so good we get it most days through day or night, for a couple of hours at least. In the past Beledeyesi have told us, main pump broken down, main pipe burst, pipes being laid to some big army chiefs house, and the cracker was " too many houses in your area. We would witness them turning it off on our corner many a time" If you query locals washing paths...they have wells...or shrug of shoulders. Unfortunately we are in their hands
