Kibtec deposit

Has anyone had experience in retrieving their deposit back from Kibtec when moving house? Do you need the new owners to hand over their deposit at the same time or can this be done separately? If so do they disconnect the electric?

Our neighbours informed Kibtec of the change, account was transferred and deposit money returned to their bank account within about 4 weeks.

we received our deposit back via a cheque collected from kibtec after 6 weeks. joke i know but they said it took that long to process, i think they hope you will forget about it.....I just went in on a weekly basis and eventually they gave it to me.

If I remember correctly from previous discussions, you need to produce the original receipt that you received when you paid the deposit.

- Of course, that requirement may have changed by now - this is Cyprus, after all...

I paid 400tl in 2004. Last year I waited about 8 weeks because I'd lost the receipt. I got back 674tl. If in Girne you need to see Mr Mustapha, upstairs.
