Finding an owner because of microchip

Those of you who visited Lambousa might have seen a lovely Husky dog wandering about with a nasty sore on its rump. Members of KAR were there yesterday and on the off chance checked him with a microchip tester and Eureka he had one inserted. On Monday the number will be checked with the Lefkosa registration offices and the necessary action taken.

Please could the people who have taken the Rottie in (Zac) please take him to one of the Vets that has the necessary equipment i.e. PetCross so that the original owners (?) can be contacted. I doubt very much they want him back under the circumstances but that is what micro-chipping is all about after all, otherwise there would be no point in it.

Why bother, if the owners had wanted him they would not have chained him and walked away, he has a forever home now let`s leave it at that.

If the original owner is found!! can they not be prosecuted for what they did?

More than likely the Rottie is not micro chipped anyway! If the previous owners had no conscience about abandoning their dog in that way, sorry doubt very much if they have spent money on the poor thing. Maybe I could be wrong! this time.
I agree with previous post the dog has been lucky enough to have found people that really want it and will have a loving and caring home. so even if the original owners are traced, they should be fined heavily and through their actions, they would not get the chance to have the dog back.

I hope he does have a chip and that if the owners are still here that the police make an example of them, I also believe that if they are found, as part of their punishment, they ought to be tied up with out food and water at the beach.

The point of the posting was to show that owners can be found In some cases they may have lost or had a dog stolen. My initial paragraph pointed out that an owner has been found for an abandoned or maybe lost Husky by the means of a microchip. If Zac was originally lost or stolen don't you think it right that the original owners should at least know that he has been found, albeit in the state he was. If one of mine was lost/stolen and then found weeks or months later, I would like to be informed, that's why they are all micro-chipped.

I'm sure the new owners will get him micro-chipped. At that point it will come to light if he already has one!
