NTV Subscribers - Karsiyaka
My current TV package is due for renewal very shortly. As yet I do not know what I will be ask to pay for renewal. I have been looking at the NTV website and their channel listings are to my liking. Although I understand that Internet TV can have its problems and is not 100% perfect, I was wondering if any Karsiyaka subscribers to NTV have had major problems with the service? Will appreciate constructive criticism, or otherwise, from any subscriber.

Re: NTV Subscribers - Karsiyaka
Your milage will vary more from your Internet Service provider than your actual physical location.
If you are with Multimax, you already get more than 15 TV channels free of charge on NTV, so you can easily check for performance just by signing up. System will recognize you are from Multimax and you get to watch Multimax channels at no cost.
If you are with another provider, apart from the fact that you are spending your money for an inferior service, your chances of having decent performance from NTV, as with pretty much anything else, is greatly reduced. As NTV does not come with any contracts, you can subscribe to monthly package which is 14.49Euros, and if it does not work out, that will be your only loss for trying it out.
If you like to switch your Internet to Multimax, we currently offer 2 flavours:
1. 15MbitMax Package for 749TL/annum
2. 20MbitMax Package for 999TL/annum
Both packages comes with installation, activation. They also come with best performance guarantee and no questions asked money back guarantee (on the unused portion of your account), so you cannot really lose on these deals.

Thank you Rocking for your reply.
Thank you Kemal for the info. As I understand it Multimax is a separate company from NTV. Can you tell me, if I so wished, that you would be able to supply me with the full UK Premier Package from NTV together with set-top box and of course your internet service.
Could I arrange all this by going into your Karakum office.
Many thanks, Bookmark.

We have NTV and Multimax, and what I have found is that they are the `best` of the tv suppliers in the TRNC.
But what I can say is that Multimax is the best Internet provider we have had.And yes you will have problems with NTV like you can be watching a series on recall tv because it is screened late at night, and then one day for whatever reason the recall function is not available.Or sometimes a program will go missing,so yes you take the good with the bad.

Hello Bookmark, yes you are correct that Multimax and NTV are 2 seperate companies and I represent MM only. However, through our past and current cooperation, we have made a deal between 2 companies so Multimax customers receive currently approx 15 channels for free of charge. You can watch these channels through your computer/tablet or an android settopbox (not supplied by Multimax) to connect directly to your TV.
You can then again subscribe to additional channels (almost 100 of them including sky premium channels and more) and either again watch them on your compnuter, through an android box OR purchase a specific settopbox that works directly with your TV and is pretty convenient.
Multimax will gladly provide you with a decent Internet connection for your needs (http://www.mmxyp.com , info@multimaxcyprus.com, 0548 888 6629 ...). In order to choose between options of NTV, it is best to contact them direct and I am sure they will point you to the right direction (http://www.ntv.mx , info@ntv.mx)

Re: NTV Subscribers - Karsiyaka
Hello Kemal,
I have been a Multimax customer for several years benefiting from receiving the free NTV channels via my laptop. I have recently purchased an IPTV set top box (MAG 250) and want to watch the channels with this instead. Please can you tell me how I can now watch these via the set top box. Thank you. judyvincent@live.co.uk

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the answer to your question is you can not use a mag250 to watch the channels you get from NTV for free as a Multimax customer. The mag250 box will work with (paid for) NTV subscriptions that are for mag250 but not with the free channels given to Multimax customers.judyvin wrote:Hello Kemal,

Thank you for your most speedy reply Erol as usual. You answered as I suspected so I will take out a subscription and still have the laptop if needed. Is there anywhere I can find out more information about the catch up side including which channels. I presume I can also record programs too?

For most accurate and up to date answers it would probably be best to try emailing info@ntv.mxjudyvin wrote:Thank you for your most speedy reply Erol as usual. Some channels have catch up and some do not. NTV should be able to give the details of which do and which do not. I do not think there is a record function with the mag250 per se. There is a function to download programs on those channels that have catch up, after the program has been broadcast and before it is no longer available on catch up but not a generic record function but again NTV will be able to give you more definitive and up to date answers.
