According to the dates given, my car is due for MOT between Sept.5th and Sept 17th. However, both my Emissions and MOT from 2011 are dated Sept.29th and 30th respectively. So, can I use the still valid Emissions Test when I apply for new MOT, or must I apply for a new Emissions Test and forget the overlap?
I'm quite sure many others have experienced this, and would like to know what action they took?.

Re: MOT and Emissions tests query.
i am almost sure you will have to have a new emissions to get your MOT as we had a similar experience before and had to get a new one.

Re: MOT and Emissions tests query.
New emissions test needed first
then to tax office to pay for mot
then to the mot station
You also need to have insurance and road tax current
I took all the paperwork and let the office and the mot station sort it ourt

Re: MOT and Emissions tests query.
Your MOT is valid for 3years and your emissions valid for 1 year, so yes when you go to renew MOT your emissions must be renewed within one month of the MOT ( not too sure whether it's one month but there is a time scale).
