Whirling Dervis Evening 7th September in aid of Tulips

If you have not seen this mesmerising dance then now is your opportunity.

Starting at 8.30pm and costing only 10TL to enter you will be able to watch this fantastic display lasting approximately 50 minutes.

The Whirling Dervis’s are performing for free for Tulips.

Payment can be made prior to the event at the Tulips stall at Chateau Lambousa on Saturday on the 30th August and the 6th September, alternatively you can purchase your ticket on the door on the 7th September.

Is there a limited amount of tickets available as I would like to be sure of getting 2 tickets. I am not able to get to Chateau Lambousa either but can get to Best Sellers in Karakum.

There is room for about 275 people. I think it will be a sellout, worth the trip to Chateau.......

What time is Chateau Lambousa open till? Can the tickets be obtained from Bellapais in advance?

Unfortunately tickets are not available in advance for this event from Bellapais.

However, they are available at Chateau Lambousa on Saturday morning from our Tulips stall from approx 9am alternatively you can purchase tickets on entrance on sunday night but this is dependant upon demand before the event.

The Tulips stall, at this time of year, tends to close at about 12 noon due to the heat.

Sorry, I am not a driver so not sure re bypasses etc.

Get onto the Lapta/Alsancak road, carry on until you come to the Manolya hotel on your right.

Chateau Lambousa is just a little further on to your left.

I am sure there will be people who can give you better directions but basically, this is where it is.

Directions to Chateau Lambousa:

From Girne direction - head to Lapta and drive along the Lapta Strip - it starts with the Haci Ali Hotel on your right hand side followed by the Veni Vici Restauarant on your left.

Drive pass all the shops, bars, restauarant and hotels and as you pass a large hotel on your left called the LA Hotel, take the 2nd left turning (it is a large junction)

Follow this road up and turn first left and you will be heading towards the entrance of Chateau Lambousa.

You will see many cars all heading in or out of the direction you will need to be in. Once parked up just ask anyone to guide you to the Tulips stall.

So sorry I cannot be there. I will have to catch up with the Mevlane some other time. I always find it uplifting when seeing them. The fact that they can reach out to a higher spiritual level is an inspiration to me and an encouragement that we can always learn more about those aspects of life which are unseen.

I think it is great that a spiritual experience such as this can help others to physical health .

So sorry that I cannot be there.
