The BRS and their Scottish members!
If Scotland gets it's independence, will it also mean that all Scottish BRS members will become associate members?
What will happen to their UK passports?
What will happen to all the jokes that start.... There was an Englishman, a Welshman, an Irishman and a Scotsman? Should they be included?

More to the point will the all have to go back to Scotland - Weston-Super-Mare would become a deserted town overnight - lol. I wish them luck whichever way they vote but I don't want moaning if its a NO vote and please no moaning if its a YES vote!

Would they be allowed in the South?
Their passports would not be valid, and Scotland may not have sorted out their EU situation.
We may be stuck with them all!

Ah, its only "Residents" of Scotland that can vote anyway so those that have left and settled here are Scottish and always will be!! I think it is a political move and that not enough thought has been given to what might happen, I really, really hope that if it is a YES vote that it works for them and that they can stick it to the British Government - more so now that the MPs have just got another 9% pay rise when the rest of the workers in the UK are fighting to put food on the table!!

As an exiled Lancashire lass (well a bit older!) I reckon the best thing to come out of Yorkshire is the road!

Well the bookmakers still think there will be a NO vote and are offering 9\4 to anyone who thinks the locals want to break away, with 4\11 with the jocks accepting the fact they need the English to run things for them.

Re: The BRS and their Scottish members!
That's an interesting point re the labour seats.
If it's a yes vote the English labour party will lose a lot of seats overnight.
So it's a conservative Gov in England for the foreseeable future.
What puzzled me is that when the polls said the 'Yes' vote was marginally in the lead, the British chancellor started promising the Scots all sorts of new rights-
Why would they do that given that a Yes vote would be a huge boost for the Conservatives?

Was listening to the news yesterday and apparently George Brown (he who gave our gold away) is promising the earth to voters to say NO as he say "there will be a Labour Government next time" and we'll give you rights and privileges you haven't had before. Typical GB behaviour.

I think Essex should go for independence and let all the blond Essex girls run it, I am sure they would then want the rest of the UK to be know as Essex and not England,
