KAR welcomes other likeminded individuals and groups

Following many reports that KAR may be upset, concerned or worried about the newly formed group Hope4Pets they would like to respond to those reports.

Some KibKom members may not be aware that KAR and representatives from Hope4Pets had met and shared ideas and experiences and KAR thought that the meeting had been beneficial. There have been other dialogues from individuals of Hope4Pets group, by way of email and phone calls, in respect of advice and the best ways to help individual cases in certain circumstances and situations. KAR are always willing to to help and advise anyone (groups or individuals) who are concerned about animal welfare. They have helped and advised groups in the past such as the Donkey Escapade Group, BARK, The Silent Ones and will continue to do so in the future if asked.

As many of you know KAR have campaigned long and hard (eg by way of discussions, meetings, producing information brochures, an established education program in schools and colleges etc) to raise awareness of the stray cat and dog problems. It is good to see that now more people are becoming aware of their plight and more people are offering to help.
KAR are pleased that individuals who care about animals are willing to help them in areas and in situations when KAR cannot help. Whether that is as individuals helping or groups it matters not - what matters is that help is given. KAR would love to be able to help all of the animals here in North Cyprus but it simply cannot. KAR wishes Hope4Pets, and everyone else that gives time or energy or money to help animals in North Cyprus , Good Luck - it is often a thankless task. But thanks comes from knowing that you have helped in however small a way.

Hi KAR,,

Thank you for this posting I am sure it will help many to understand, well we can only HOPE,

As you say we had a meeting and it was good to meet and talk with some of your members about the work that our group hope to achieve, and even the smallest of improvements with the situation at the moment is something,,

We at the Hope 4 pets group may have our vision and dreams of improving plenty but we also know that this will take many many years before we start to make a difference,,

And like you we will always have many people doubt us and question our every motive too, Shoulders just become stronger and wider to carry the load,

We will continue on our group to stop any negativity towards KAR, as we feel this needs to be nipped in the bud, but as always we will come across this from time to time, I hear many stories as we all do, and I always try to say back that KAR have always worked hard, it's never easy to keep everyone happy, is it,

We are new and we have much to learn, and much to put into place also, as many know this,has happened so,very fast our feet have hardly been on the ground ! And all I can say is we will work always to a professional standard of conduct in our approach to all things that we need to address,
