Cheap reading glasses

Any suggestions for where to buy cheap 'off the shelf' reading glasses?
I've tried a few chemists, no luck. I'm sure I've seen them before somewhere, supermarket, China Bazaar etc.
Any opticians, pref E side, Karakum, Catalkoy etc.

Thanks in advance.

I second Mr Pound - bought a pair from our chemist for 10TL then found out that the same pair were 5TL in Mr Pound, including a soft case.

Mr Pound. They don't stand up to rough handling so best buying a couple of pairs, one for your handbag and one pair at home.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

From Girne go west towards Lapta .. Straight on at the market roundabout, you will see Mr Pound on the right hand side ..
At the next roundabout come back on yourself & Mr Pound is then on your left ..
After you have done the "U" turn at the roundabout turn left at the 1st road, then immediately right, you can then park & go into Mr Pound at the rear entrance ..

Definitely Mr Pound, and also not just once. They change their stock periodically, so sometimes they are just ordinary glasses on a rack, sometimes super duper colourful ones in boxes, etc etc. Over the years I have a collection (while they last) and have them in everyroom, handbag etc, etc. I confess to buying more expensive in the past (Boots inU.K) but the ones at Mr Pound are good, especially as one's eyesight fails and one needs to go up from a 1 to a 2 etc.

I too buy them from the £ shop, in the UK though. Like Marion I have them everywhere.I would never dream of buying posh ones, as long as I can see to read.

Buy half a dozen or so from MR P and have dotted around place, in car etc. BUT be bit choosy, even in MR P some are better quality than others.
