Mike is seriously ill and we are trying to raise some funds to assist him.
I do not think it is appropriate to discuss details regarding Mike , as I am sure we can all appreciate medical information is personal .
If anyone wants to come along they are very welcome.

Re: Mike Alican DARTS competition
A really BIG BiG thank you to everyone who came to the Darts and Auction last night at Tropicana.
The total raised so far is 2,300tl but there is a bit more to come
An amazing response from so many people. Generous donations for the auction from local bars, restaurants and individuals.
High bids from many people in the auction. Hope Ergin enjoys his reflexology! 125tls worth per foot!!!
No 180's from Dart players , many of whom had never thrown a dart but great matches .
Many countries were represented Turkish Cypriots, English, Italians, Turkish, Scottish, Maltese, Irish and Cockneys
The common denominator was Mike......who needs the EU or UN when you have Mike

Great night with great people and a fantastic amount raised for mike which was very well supported, just a pity some sad people felt it necessary to make comments before the event had even taken place which resulted in the original post being moved and comments deleted .

Re: Mike Alican DARTS competition
Would like to clarify that the Forum felt it necessary to move/delete/alter this thread, because it was discovered that these personal fund raising events are illegal unless proper procedure is followed. On KibKom Forum we cannot support illegalities, but as this was a group of friends helping, we allowed it back. Soner had in fact written a posting which it was decided would not go on, but if any further fund raisers of this nature are posted, they will have to be deleted, unless we are assured that proper procedure has been followed.
Also there is a considerable number of people who were fearful of being shouted down that did not post on the Forum - hence I did. Some people feel that as this is a public forum, and one is asking the public to support a charitable event, it is only natural that questions will be raised as to the nature of the illness, the severity of the case and why charities who would help were not consulted.
But in the end it was felt that this could stand.
It might be helpful if it were posted as to what the money will cover, as no prognosis or specified required treatment was given (statements that are needed by the Kaymakanlik in order to get permission for a fund raiser) . It was also stated that Mike did not want details of his surname etc, etc to be put into the 'media' but unfortunately this forum is a form of media.
Not wishing to be 'difficult' but these postings did pose ethical and legal difficulties for us.(and when I say 'us' I mean TheForum, and of course Soner with whom I have been consulting regarding this posting.)
It might also be helpful to those who are genuinely interested in Mike's welfare to know whether he is out of hospital etc, etc.

Marion's.
Are you assuming that charities who could help Mike have not been consulted or is this speculation?
