advice needed. passport for baby born in trnc

I am hoping someone can help me or advise me as to where I can get help.

My baby was born here this year, myself and my partner were both born in the uk with no turkish or trnc conections. I now find myslef in the position of having to return home and need to obtain a passport for my child. I am unsure how I do this from here, also if my baby would be able to get a kimlik card.

any help or advice would be great. Thank you

As this country is unrecognised you will have problems but there are others who have been through this before. I have a friend whose daughter was born here over thirty years ago, so her experience probably won't help you now.

You need to go to the British High Commission in Lefkosia.

I believe also to prevent problems when leaving from Ercan etc make sure when you get the passport get it registered on the TRNC computer system before leaving.

My son was born here and I sent a copy of the birth certificate here with my passport, birth certificate etc and got him registered in the uk with a british birth certificate and passport. If you pop to the high commission they will help you. It was an easy process. Good luck x
