Another query about an Alsancak ATM

There is an ATM outside Starlings in Alsancak. My husband has used this from time to time to obtain tl. However he now says there is a sign indicating that it is an Exchange Machine. To me this means that I could withdraw Sterling, stick the Sterling back into the machine, press a series of buttons and knobs and it would come out in tl. Whether this is the case I have no idea and don't feel inclined to give it a try. Has anyone else?
