Filmon.com
Reception of this has been very poor recently - it keeps freezing.
Is there another site on which I can watch UK TV channels and films free???

Re: Filmon.com
I've managed to watch the News channels ok on Filmon but the others are dreadful. I've been using YouTube to watch the soaps and caught Downton Abbey on there last week, but haven't been able to find any other site that doesn't require either payment or registering.

You need at least 4mb to watch filmon.com on a TV. Most of the time it's fine but peak evening times can buffer quite a bit, especially in poor weather.

Re: Filmon.com
The internet is always poor for us on a Sunday evening.
A viable alternative to Filmon is XBMC, not simple to set up, but worth it as it gives access to ALL TV, for free. Youtube has some very good videos on the subject. The best repositories/Addons I have found are Mashup and P2P.

Re: Filmon.com
Hi
You can always download programs through a site called tvchaos and then watch them next day.
I find filmon works OK with a 2mB connection.
If you go through XBMC it seems to require a lot more bandwidth and therefore freezes more often and as Hilltop says it is complicated to set up.
A good app for watching films is called showbox you can set the quality
to low medium or high and I find, that set on medium the quality is good and it doesn't t freeze while watching it.
