Looking at buying a couple of inverter paraffin heaters anybody got these and are they any good?
Torn between these or a log burner.

Paraffin is efficient but beware of bi products ie fumes and condensation. If I had the choice would use log burner. More expensive but in te long term you will not regret it

Bert.
We have been using Japanese parafin heaters here for the last 7 or 8 years, they do not give off fumes and do not cause condensation.
The down side is the cost 350 Eruros on the dark side or nearly double here. The burn with an orange flame not a blue one.
They are very efficient and keep the house very warm. There is a very good service department at the importers in Nicosia.
You will find these heaters in Carrefour, Leroy Merlin. There is also a electrical shop after Metro supermarket ( going towards motorway ) on the left at the next roundabout, sorry forgot the name, they are all in a much the same price range.

Hi karmels
We have just bought one for our caravan in UK and they are saying that you have to have high grade paraffin. can you get it easy enough over in TRNC . The one we have bought is Japanese and cost about £260 so not that big a differance.

HI brant, the parafin sold here is clear, it could be the same as they use in the planes as I ca't see them importing parafin for domestic use only.
The parafin sold in the South is pink, it is als sold in dispensing machine on street corners but you need a container.
The heater we have gives off 32,000 btu.
