yesiltepe I have a question
Was anyone else woken up this morning at 5 10am by a loud speaker at full volume? It would appear that the local authorities have erected two speakers on telegraph pole No 11 at Ataturk Caddesi,Ilgas Road, Yesiltepe.

You will get used to it. I lived in house below the Karsiyaka Mosque. I love the sound very spiritual. Also when somebody dies in the village will tell you of his death and time of funeral. Just a shock if loudspeakers just gone up and hear for first time, but I think lovely.

Thanks for that, I did wonder why I could hear the call to prayer so clearly today. I wonder why they feel the need to erect these loud-speakers now?

Re: yesiltepe I have a question
So that people who live further afield know it's time for prayer. Must say only 2 people in the village went about 10 years ago maybe more now. I have noticed it is mainly the main land Turks use the mosque the most.
