STAR water dispenser

We have had this machine for a few years now without any problems whatsoever and we have cleaned as instructed. This year we have decided to use the hot water facility for the first time. Despite reading the instructions carefully we still can't figure out how to get water into a reservoir specifically for the hot water. We turned on the switch at the back and the smell of burning was bad, which we think indicated there was no water to heat.

I'm sure most of the hot/cold water dispensers work on the same principle, so is there anyone who has a different make able to assist. Thanks.

If, as you suggest, it is the same as other dispensers, then you do not need to do anything to get water into a separate reservoir - the heating element simply heats the water in the main reservoir (the water for the chiller part goes in a different direction, but again, you do not actually need to DO anything).

The smell of burning could simply be due to the years of accumulated dust - or to an electrical fault.

If in doubt, get it checked out - either by an electrician or by one of the shops who supply the dispensers.
