I understand the government offices could be closed on Monday.

Is this correct as we intend to do our residency in Lefkosa.

Tomorrow (15th ) is Republic Day (declaration of Independence of TRNC) - watch for the 'planes!

I am told Banks will be open on Monday, but should be grateful if anyone know definitely differently! Btw my Chemist told me chemists will be closed TOMORROW

Monday should be all as normal, here and in Turkey they don't "carry over" bank holidays that happen at weekends.
