Has anyone else received an e.mail, from no- reply@teacherspensions asking them to register their details? I have a suspicious nature I think.

I'm not a teacher, but 10 seconds of 'Googling' found me this UK Government website which links to the Teachers Pension website (Capita PLC G.B.) - which is presumably where you were being requested to register.

If you don't trust the email, then either use my link or Google it yourself, or follow the link from the official UK Government website.

I'm an ex lecturer and Capita pay my pension into my account. As Keithcaley says best to contact them, Capita, directly as the email seems dodgy

Johner, are you sure Capita still pay your pension? They have lost a lot of pension contracts this year, most of which have gone to MyCSP, a new crap outfit that have screwed up many Civil Service pensions! A request for information from them would be probable as they don't seem able to retain anyone's data!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Thanks to you all for hepful comments and advice. I did omit the final part of the subject line -- after stating, 'Register your details online' there followed 'safe as houses'.
So, with that firmly in mind, I intend ignoring the e.mail.

And MyCSP are utterly incompetent. They have told loads of porkies about the reason for non-payment of pensions.

I am currently awaiting the non-arrival of 2 months pension in my German account.

That was the same with Capita, but not apparently with MyCSP.
