printer problems

can anyone help me. have got a new printer which will not print from Microsoft word processor, paper goes through but comes out blank, doing same on old printer.

Have you installed the drivers for the printer.

You need to check to see if the driver is installed ( click computer button on entry list)

Yes, we had the same problem. Try downloading the right drivers from the manufacturer's website.

yes have installed drivers from Epson and hp web sites.

Which printer are you useing? you mention downloading from HP & Epsom which are two different drivers??

I'm guessing one is the old one and the other the new one.

Disconnect printer from PC
Delete both printers from your PC
Turn PC off & unplug for 2 mins
Turn PC on
Install new printer only

First things first!

Look at the instructions to print a test page by using ONLY the controls on the printer - not the PC, and check that the printer will actually Print a test page...

thanks for all replies, uninstalled both drivers,installed hp and now working, did not do restart after first install.
