How do I delete old PM's

Probably a really silly ask but I cannot find any way of clearing old PM's from the box. Can anyone help please?

While viewing the List of old PM's, you will see at the top left, the word 'Mark', and below that, to the right of each message is a 'Tick Box'.

Click on the Tick Box next to each message that you want to delete, and then scroll down to the bottom of the list, where you will see a box that reads "Mark/Unmark as important", with a black arrow head alongside. Click on the arrow head, and then select 'Delete' followed by 'Go' - & the job's a good 'un
