Healthspan.Evening Primrose Oil capsules
I have always had my supplies from Healthspan, delivered in UK, and Ireland, and then here for the last 10 years, with no problem.
Yesterday, I placed my usual order, and received a message stating that their orders can longer be delivered to Turkey, and could I provide another address? I sent a reply saying that the order was for delivery to N.Cyprus, but had to come via Turkey, and had been doing so for 10 years, but was told it was new regulations. Anyone else having similar problems?

If you've been getting them recently then you have been lucky, as the TRNC stopped people having vitamins sent here a few years ago. I can't remember when my last order was from Healthspan. 3 or 4 years ago, and when I went to Girne Post Office to get them was told they could no longer be sent here, vitamins are banned, so they sent them back to Healthspan. I know other people had the same trouble around about the same time.

Thanks for that Stellasstar. I actually received my last order in July this year, so was luckier than some. However, earlier today Healthspan told me it wasn't TRNC causing the problem -- but they were banned from sending to Turkey! I'll have to make some enquiries here, or else get them at Holland and Barratt.

Remember Dog Walker, that our address is Turkey, so not sure if they are really banned in Turkey. I remember at the time, someone had done a huge order from Healthspan to here, and the Post Office customs opened the package and said that the person had to be selling them illegally, so that was it - banned. Healthspan were really good to me at the time when I rang them and told them the problem, and they refunded my money before they had even got their vitamins returned to them. As I wasn't the only one in the situation, Healthspan probably just put a ban on sending them to Turkey. Still not sure how you got your's, guess you were lucky.

I do remember that situation a few years back, but my '3 times a year' small order continued to come, with no problems, until now. Very disappointing.

If you've actually run out, I would try Hatice at Aydin Eczanesi in Alsancak, she's the most likely to have them here...

Or you could have them sent to a PO Box in the South??

Agree with Karmels. We we share a PO Box with friends at the Post Office in the South - the one near the Lokmace (?) pedestrian crossing. A couple of weeks ago we had a trial run to have our Healthspan Glucosomine tablets posted to our PO Box. We paid £3.95 for postage but got a £2.00 discount for being a regular customer, and they took about 10 days to arrive. Even with the shared cost of the PO Box (30 Euros a year) this works out cheaper than buying here, and we no longer have to take up valuable weight and space when returning from our annual trip to the UK. Our 3 boxes of tablets just fitted into the PO Box, so no problems, but had the package been bigger I suspect we would have had to collect them from the Strovolos Post Office, which is a short bus ride away.

Yes PapaBravo, that's what I do. P.O. Box near Metehan crossing. I order twice a year, and if they can't fit them in the box they just have them inside for me.

Thanks, Keithcaley, I got the capsules from Hatice with no difficulty. A bit more expensive than from my UK supplier, but where did they come from? Harrow in Middlesex!! Anyway, they're available, and more convenient than having a Post Box in the south!
