FOR the second consecutive year the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2015 will be holding a Car Treasure Hunt on Sunday 4th January 2105.
Registration will be at the starting point which is Stevie’s Restaurant at Küçük Erenköy.
There are no restrictions on number of participants in a vehicle but safety must be paramount.
This event is not a race but is designed to be fun, with some skilful driving and map reading! The start will be a staggered with drivers drawing lots for starting positions.
Briefing will be at 11.30am with a 12 noon start so please do not be late.
Cost is TL25 per car and places are limited so pre-booking is essential. The winning team will receive a Treasure Hunt plaque and trophy.
Stevie is offering a “Treasure Hunt Sunday Roast which is just TL30 per person (10% to Tulips) which MUST be pre-booked. Call Stevie on 0533 8494744.
There will also be a Quiz, a Raffle and small Auction.

THE Car Treasure Hunt in aid of Help Those With Cancer (Tulips) took place on Sunday, 4 January and raised an impressive TL2,050 for the charity.
Eighteen cars with a total of 72 participants took part in the event which started and finished at Stevie’s bar and restaurant in Küçük Erenköy and covered an area of 28kms. Drivers drew for pole positions and after a staggered start, the route took them out towards Tatlisu and surrounding area.
As well as solving clues in order to move on to the next destination, participants had to decipher anagrams in order to collect five items which included a rose petal and a party hat.
Three teams scored full marks and after of a local knowledge tie-breaker, the eventual
winners were Team 4 Play, who also won in 2014.The winning team were presented with a bottle of Champagne (donated by Stevie’s) the annual Treasure Hunt winners’ plaque and a team plaque.
A total of 62 diners took advantage of the specially prepared Sunday lunch which was followed by a drivers’ quiz and a fantastic raffle. Mr Stockwell donated 10% of the meal price to the charity, along with the proceeds of the tea and coffee before the start of the event.
Art Watson, Chairman of the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2015 committee said, “This has been a great event, well attended and so much fun. People brought along prizes for the raffle and gave generously not only of their time but their money to make this a super day. This was the second car treasure hunt organised by Brian Hills and we hope it will now become an annual New Year event.
