USA-Cuba relations.

Do we see a parallel between USA relaxing embargoes against Cuba and RoC against TRNC?
Obama has said that embargoes are out dated and have had little effect on Cuba.
Life goes on here despite the embargoes so are they just a spiteful continuation of the RoC's attitude to the TRNC?

Yes watching the news Vaughan I was surprised ,but the last year or so it's been touted .

Cynically ......last tern for Obama and vote time so lots of Cubans already live in the USA .
Possibly moving on USA investmant country in land development ,second homes ,hotels etc

May be more cynically Cubans previous friends of Russia and now obamas tit for tat with Putin has been a new and last shot at him for the future USA presidents .
Cuba then would with money lean towards western views .

My friend goes twice a year and said 2 years ago you have to go now to enjoy cuba ,before it's taken away

One of the best holidays I and my wife have ever had, was in Cuba, a beautiful island and people.
