Cement mixer comes off the Buffavento/Five-Fingers road

According to http://www.gundemkibris.com/beton-mikse ... 34951h.htm at 11:50 am yesterday the driver, Ersin Sarp, a resident of Lapta, lost control of the vehicle roughly 100 metres down from the Buffavento Restaurant, heading downwards on the Girne side of the mountain.

The scary thing is that when the driver lost control, the mixer went off the right side of the road, meaning there was a possibility of it hitting oncoming traffic As the mixer decended into the ravine the driver was able to jump free, fortunately suffering only a few scratches. The mixer however, as can be seen below, split into two.

That is a scary road I try to avoid it if possible as the taxi drivers just overtake whether there is something coming or not and then expect you to let them in they are always in such a hurry. It puts every one in danger. A couple of years ago many people were killed on that road.

Jock has started ! I take that as "concrete" evidence that he has been at the Viagra Eye Drops again, so that he can look hard !
