Stray in Karsiyaka Hunting season over
A stray pointer has appeared around our property today. A brown and white pointer, very young and a bit under nourished. Could possibly be from the last of the hunting season yesteray. Has a silver collar. Any assistance would be welcome contact 0533 887 8480.

We have taken in a boy pup like this, probably from same litter. Had a brown collar, about 5 months old? Also a similar girl has shown up in Kayalar. Our boy was picked up near startling express Karisyaka. I do not hold much hope of you finding an owner, sorry

Re: Stray in Karsiyaka Hunting season over
Have spoken to KAR this morning who inform me they no longer deal with dogs in the Lapta area of responsibility. Does anyone know of organisations that might help find a home for this pointer as we hear the local authority dispose of the dogs. We cannot keep him because we have 8 cats and feel it would be too disruptive.

Could you post a photo on here please, and if you can't then send to me or Soner.
However, it does sound like another dumped hunting dog which the owner does not wish to reclaim. But give it a try.
Otherwise Pati Paws might help or can point you in the direction of someone who can. As to Lapta there is no proof that they shoot or kill dogs, but it oculd be worth investigating as to how far they have got with the dog compound they were building. If it is finished then this dog could go there, but.......................
Good luck.

Marian thank you for your advice and imput. Picture of the dog attached. There has been an offer of neutering from a kind person.

What a beauty!
If that was my dog, he'd be busily engaged ripping the stuffing out of that cushion! - and probably chewing the legs off of the chair!

Still looking for a home for the Pointer, have named him Will-u. Very good with cats but likes his creature comforts. Anyone out there able to help. He is to be neutered during the next seven days.

Re: Stray in Karsiyaka Hunting season over
I've been feeding a young hunting dog, near Old Milos in Alsancak, since the hunting season finished around Xmas. I thought he was dead when I found him, all skin and bones, and with several small wounds. However, with careful feeding and lots of loving care, he is now a beautiful dog, gentle and sweet-natured, very light-coloured with a few sandy patches. Unfortunately, I can't offer him a home, but I wish somebody would. He comes to a whistle if he's not already there, waiting, and he gets on with other dogs, though is a bit wary when he first meets them.

Pointer still available, has had his Kennel Club name verified as "Lord Will-u get out the the feckin way you wee scabby dawg of Karsiyaka". A very playful and sometime obedient creature who is good with cats and is also friendly to humans. House full of cats results in us needing a new home for him.
