Cricket update - good news and bad news.

This is a c ase of what do you want first? The good news or the bad news? Well, the bad news is that this Sunday (11th) cricket is cancelled. Nigel Holman reports "
I’m sorry to say, Nicosia C.C. have cancelled our game this Sunday, apparently for ‘operational reasons’. "

This is then followed by the good news - which is "However, they have definitely confirmed we will play them the following Sunday 18th January. Tad will be rebooking the pitch which we assume will be at Pia Bella Stadium, as there shouldn’t be a problem because it’s the football winter break."

So watch out for news of timings etc and put it in the diary.

In addition Nigel reports "Our Peshawar collection went amazingly well with a final total of 4,850TL. We should all particularly thank Mark for not only being our star wicket keeper, but also for being a star donator having given an extremely generous 1,000TL. Creditwest have promised we will receive their donation this week & as soon as I get it, I’ll forward the money to the Edhi Foundation."

Thanks for the update Marion. The good news for me it to be held at one of the few places I now know I can get to! (unlike the dinner, unfortunately)..

Will you be updating us on confirmation of place and date and timings, please??

Hopefully nigell. Will send details as soon as available re the 18th and I will post on here RR. Nigek is very keen and efficient. Must be so disappointing to have cancellations which are really not fully ex plained. But wonderful that this is happening at all and that is Thanks to the vision of a couple of men.
